fast food nation

Fast food over here is suprisingly good.. pretty unlike those we have in spore.. and its the cheapest kind of food u can get over here..

anyway i have so much pics to upload but no internet.. so irritating and i have been shopping so much that it scares me.. just over the weekend i spend 1k!! on stuff like coach, kate spade, Calvin Klein, polo ralph.. omg some one help me!

been to New York over the last week end and atlantic city this week end.. it was alot of fun.. hope i get to uplaod pictures soon! i feel so disconnected from the world..

greetings frm the USA

Finally arrived in the US after a really long horrible plane ride without any in flight entertainment! try enduring 16 hrs strap to the chair with nothing to do!! the weather here is freaking cold.. so unlike what summer is suppose to be like.. its 9degrees!! omg..

we flew over the snow capped mountains in alaska! its amazing! so beautiful..

we had to spend the first night at JFK airport in NY.. its a interesting experience.. sleeping outside the luggage shop in the air port!

we will be working at six flags great adventure at new jersey.. its located in a really ulu place and there is no internet there! omg.. we hav to walk 30 mins to McDonald's jus to get wifii! and its really inaccessible without car!

gotta go for our orientation program for work.. its exactly 12 hrs difference in time frm spore! still feeling kinda jet lagged.. catch up again! when i get Internet! my skin is so dry.. gotta start walking 30 mins back to six flags.. maybe i will try hitching a ride one day..haha!

USA!

I am leaving for the US tmr morning! cant believe its so fast! going there for a work and travel program.. will be working at Six Flags Great Adventure at New Jersey.. i m pretty excited and a little worried at the same time..its going to be the longest time i will be away from my family. well the comforting thing that Eugene will be there with me so will caderam and christina.. and there is always skype! flight is at 1025 am tmr! going by china airline.. hope it wount be too bad.. haha! if u all wanna get stuff from US just drop me an email k! i am so looking forward to shopping over there!

Advance Bday pressie

Received a really early birthday present from Eugene's godma.. it came as a surprise cus my birthday is not until july.. she says if she send it in july i wont be around so she sent it now.. so sweet of her..

she bought me a coach bag.. its under the poppy groovy collection.. love it! and its in my favourite colour some more!!

it totally made my day :) really hope to be able to meet up with her during my US trip.. but she is all the way in the west..

Indian Food

Indian/Nepalese food on saturday with my family.. at this small restaurant at little india..

the restaurant is pretty interesting.. their plates and cups are made of copper or bronze.. dunno la but its really heavy like if u throw it at somebody he may jus get concusion and die..

the food is pretty good and affordable also.. we so full till we dint eat dinner..

oh and they hav this desert thing.. my brother says the balls are mad of milk.. i was like milk?! so weird.. dun taste like milk at all and is so damn sweet.. like concentrated sugar syrup..

Farewell & Bdays

Finally a Happy post on my blog.. so many unpleasant happen in the past weeks and with exams somemore.. my cell had this farewell feast for me and sharon cus we are both going on the work and travel in US.. we are going different place thou.. had steamboat cus bao zhong strongly refuses to eat korean food for reasons best known to himself..

and they also celebrated the our birthday as we wount be around during that time.. all the june and july people.. its a really advance celebration.. i dun wanna grow any older alr..

and this stupid bao zhong nv fail to make us laugh.. think he has tonnes of unglam photos on his facebook uploaded by us..

exams are half way through.. 2 more papers to go!! but i feel like its holiday already.. hahaha!

Coach Michael

to the man that taught me discipline, taught me to persevere, to do my best, never to under estimate my potential and to my dear coach who always believe in me. you are the best coach on earth and i will really miss you..

just last sunday coach called my up during church service but i missed his call and so he text me asking if i would like to go back to play for his team for the upcoming softball league.. i was really happy to hear from him again.. i told him my softball is super rusty and i m super unfit now.. he replied ' that is time to play again so that you can be fit again' and i told him i will be leaving for the US and wont be back till june and he said 'xinyi enjoy your trip will contact you again when you are back'

cant believe it was only just last Sunday that he contacted me and he is gone today.. really wished i told him that i would turn for prac on sunday.. i was really sadden by this news and tears just started rolling down when i read the facebook msg from hui jie.. start to think of all the wonderful times i had in softball in secondary school and how coach was always there and he push me beyond my limits.. i never believe i could be a good softball player cus i was really petite but somehow coach did and he always tells me that i can do it giving me that extra confidence when step on to the batting box during games.. sigh.. i miss him already..

thank you for the wonderful times coach.. memories of you will always be kept close to my heart and all the valuable lessons that you taught through the game will never be forgotten. RIP
