Love. was just looking through Michael Buble's album then i saw this page. we are either in love, dreaming about love, recovering from it, wishing for it or just reflecting on it. kinda makes me think about my life, and yea, i realise almost every phrase of my life was and is filled with love, be it bitter or sweet.. i guess that's why e heart is made up of hollow chambers, we need love :)

Aretha touched down in Singapore today! at 4.50 am in the morning. it was so early. Amanda wanted to surprise her so a few of us stayed over at her place and head over to the airport to surprise her. it was so early..and we were there playing the guitar and singing her bday song.. everyone was looking la. hahah.. but it feels great to have you back! looking forward to all the gossips download sessions, and shopping!

well, Eunice wanted to get Aretha flowers for her birthday, but we figured its more meaningful if we wrap it ourselves.. so she bought the flowers and i did the wrapping.. its been so long since i wrap a bouquet. but the skills are still there!

Amanda did a bouquet for her mom cus it was her birthday as well.. but both of us were kinda rusty, we took so long to finish wrapping. if we were to wrap at this rate at xpressflowers, we would be outta job!

it was such a long day for me. went down to church for dance prac in the morning at 9am then helped Amanda with her her musical till 9pm cus her pianist couldn't come. i was in church for 12 hours!! that's crazy. haven had such a record in a long time. ok i really need to sleep now..

congrats to myself for surviving the past 3 back to back papers.. it was so exhausting.. exams are not over yet but yup, we are almost there with just 1 paper left to go! then its time for chill outs and party.. wohoo!

went with my brother to pick a prom outfit, steph zj and eug was so nice as to accompany me.. my bro picked this checked blazer from crocodile, its really classy. oh, i learn how to tie a bow tie today.. so cool.. so after the shopping, we proceed with out mini chill out plan..

dinner at secret recipe and then Beverly Hill's Chihuahua! i want a Chihuahua also.. well after the movie, we wanted to catch a drink.. steph suggested we go check st James out.. went to take a look but.. so cheena.. no thanks

we walked back to vivo to this German bar - Brozeit. Zj says its Prozac.. alot of difference.. i guess he is too into Marx and soci alr.. the place was really nice, river view out doors, quiet and pretty good German beer. nice place to unwind after a long day.

feels good to just hang out after so long.. went home and watch V for Vendetta.. for like 4th time. haha. i still enjoy it as much.. oh i am employed for the hols! yay!

the verdict

The Verdict

Cant remember if i did a post on what actually happened. but the verdict for the board of discipline case is finally out. good news is that i wasn't fined, just an official letter of reprimand that wount appear on my transcript. Thank God! thank all of you who kept me in prayers :)
.
But overall this whole incident still baffles me. some of my friends actually got fined up to $2000. why would the school slap such a heavy fine on their students. how would they expect them to pay. school is a place where we are allowed to make mistakes and learn from them. you dun even get such fines in the working world. what has the school become? can we still afford to make mistakes?

its my mum's birthday, i have been so busy with exams that i dint manage to get anything for her, but we still manage to catch lunch together. went to this indian restaurant, Jade of India, at little india area.. its pretty classy actually and the food was great but the company was better.. i always love having meals with my family :)

it was so funny cus we have serious communication with the waiter, he was speaking english but in this really strong accent.. so we dint really know what we ordered cus whatever we ask him the only thing we can understand is "its very tasty mdm." then my mom will look at us with the blur face.. so funny..

the food turn out to be quite nice.. and my dad was so sweet! he ordered this heart shaped dessert for my mom then start telling really sweet stuff like.. this represents my heart n all.. my mom was smiling from ear to ear la.. i want to be so in love at that age too.. aww..

so we end up ordering desert which we got no idea what they are.. omg, its the last time i am going to take indian desert.. we ordered indian ice cream.. and there was so much spices inside la.. the second one was some cheese with syrup.. erm.. too exotic for me..

its back to my books after that.. so sad.. and guess what, i am actually Growing a Wisdom Tooth Now! jus the right time la.. right smack in the middle of exam! and its hurting and making me feverish.. rarr.. well, i'll have extra wisdom for exams.. not that bad afterall.. haha.. pray for me!

Performance with Fission-X

did this show with Fission -X yesterday at some Jurong estate.. it was so far! woke up damn early for the performance.. some event company approached us to perform! its quite cool.. was contemplating if i should take part cus of exams.. but i'm glad i did, it was a good break from work:)

it was some opening ceremony for a park at jurong, and we were suppose to appear in something green. i did! but everyone says that its yellow.. humpf! its green! haha. i am not colour blind.. haha..

i am glad i have the dancers with me in church.. all the nonsense we do together makes everything alot more fun! looking forward to our xmas performance.. we will be dancing at orchard! on the 23th dec. come and support us!

1. Mom called home today, and said she won some lucky draw!! it First prize some more, she won a HP mini notebook! but so sad, she is giving it to my brother who dun need it at all cus he is going army.. she should give me la! so sad..

2. was kinda disappointed cus my lappy is so freaking heavy and its going crazy alr.. then my dad came home today with a Pink iPod Shuffle..i was like so happy! its a gift that comes when he applied for credit card.. totally makes my day.. Yay!

God is good! he drops pleasant surprises in tough times like this making it bearable :)

its the first time ever that ALL the high lighters in the house are EMPTY! shows just how much reading i have been doing.. went to the convenient and restock supplies to continue with my battle!! i have been eating so much every night.. i feel so fat! arrgg!!!

Studying at home everyday really Bores me to death, so i have to grab hold of any chance/excuses i have to get out of the house.. so decided to accompany my mom to buy breakfast.. oh and i discover something really interesting..

there is this Van that will stop by every night at 10 plus and its like a movable convenient stall! its so back to the olden days where street hawkers sell noodles under your block.. his van is so well stocked from pastry to junk food.. the uncle has been in this trade for 48 years!

well, the sad thing is the government has stop issuing license for this trade.. all the buzz about conservation is so focus on national identity, Parliament houses, shop houses, Chinatown and all. but they miss out on the little things like this..how sad. well, maybe its too insignificant.. probably no tourist dollar involved that's why.. oops..

and i haven seen my dearest in days. we are just so busy. at least he makes time for me everynight before sleeping.. miss you so much :(

this place is most famous for its spicy buffalo wings.. they have a range of spiciness from level 1 to level 30! so our chilli queen Yvonne decides to go for the level 30 challenge! it was so fun to watch her eat.. all who tried it ended up in sweat and tears.. everyone gathered, even some strangers, to watch her take the challenge. i mus say she is damn Zai! dint shed a single tear! her face went red thou.. the wings are really really spicy, i ate a small piece and i was in tears! wonder how can eat it so calmly.. *applause*

well, on the other extreme, our Mr i-Cannot-take-spice.. lived up to his name totally.. we had to order level 0 for him! he refuse to even try level 1..

Its been such a long time since i met up with geraldine, i always get sms from her but haven got time to meet up.. well, we were suppose to have steamboat at bugis but when we reach there is was pouring like mad. so we went sakae instead..

we ate, and talked, laughed and just catch up.. she is really pro, juggling her work at a law firm with part time studies and giving tuition. wonder how she manage that. i m like alr dying with just my studies alone..

she hasn't change much since the last time we met, still as bubbly and funny..

so after dinner we proceed to do our all time favourite activity.. shopping at bugis street! cus we went so late, half the shops were closed! but both of us were desperate.. like die die also must buy something.. haha.. and we did! i bought 2 tops while she bought 4! hahah..

America's First Black President

Barack Obama

Its a historical moment today for America. Since Martin Luther King stood up against the discrimination of the blacks there has not been any other significant figure until today.



Barack Obama is the new president of United States and he will be the new voice for the blacks as well as the minorities.

Change has come to America!

from the elections we can see how Americans are opening up to the blacks and the racial lines that were used to be drawn so boldly are not so significant now. its a huge step to change! Obama has came a long way through this election, battling issues with his race, elitism, war and the economy. he as always emphasise on CHANGE; change you can believe in. i guess this is a timely mission statement due all the mess that bush left behind. America needs Change badly, lets just pray that Obama can deliver what he preaches.








like what he said in his victory speech,"what happened today is not change but it is the opportunity for the change that is to come!"















Obama is a really charismatic speaker, sometimes while i listen to his speeches i feel like as if i am an American myself and that i can play a part to change America! he always emphasis that America is not made up blue states or red states but one United States of America! and change can start with You! how inspiring! and his fan base is massive too, just check out him out on facebook! coming from a humble background, he always ensure that the welfare of the less wealthy are well taken of and has come up many policies in hope of closing the income gap. such as giving tax cuts for the middle class.








the impact of Obama's electoral success is so great that the stock market and US dollar actually went up! it is a good start, shows that investors have faith in him! lets hope the economy will pick up!







here is the election results, Obama won but a large margin as you can see. but lets not forget the other candidates of this election. this election is a really interesting one, we witness women as well as minorities stepping up.





John McCain and Sarah Palin. McCain was war veteran and he actually ran against Bush in the last elections but lost. he waited 8 years to make a come back at this elections, 8 years of planning and preparation. but its so sad he came at the wrong time. after all that bush has brought America through, the people has very much lost faith in the Republicans. and McCain is already so old, i dun think he can wait for another election. and Sarah Palin, his chosen vice president, was being talked about alot too. she is the first women vice president candidate and she is really young as well. the ladies like her so much that they actually make wigs that look exactly like hers! how interesting..




Hillary Clinton, competed with Obama to be the democrat representative, women vs black? its a tough choice for America at that time, they do not seem to be ready for either! but Hillary has shown much strength and perseverance and by stepping up she has really reflect what feminism is about! she is really the women of our time.

this whole election is kinda funny, America is in a tough time and has tough choices to make, black and young man? women? old man who carries bushes bad name? battling a major economic crisis, 2 war and a planet in peril. who is the best person to handle this? Well. i m glad they chose Obama, he is so cute!

Elections are so much more fun over in america, not so happening here, we dun see people partying on the streets when pap wins. its alot more quiet and not so competitive over here.




Anyway, this is like rare post, very unlike the usual light hearted little things about my life. well this will go down in history for like the next 1000 years and beyond, how can i not blog about it.. and jus so you readers know.. i do write about serious stuff, and i am knowledgeable abt the world too,

i dun just blog bimbo stuff! hahah..
