Christmas 2010

Christmas has always been a perfect finish to a year, my all time favorite occasion and a time we get to have loads of fun with the people we love.. even though this year has been one filled with extreme highs and lows, i m happy that i got to spend Christmas with my closest friends and it was all fun and jolly!

Dress up xmas party at Ang's church.. we came as power puff girls and boon pin was professor utomium! the party was fun and the people there were all nice and warm.. we had a hard time trying to look out of our poorly designed non-see-thru goggles! which explains why we seem to be staring into space on some pics.

we had our annual cell xmas party at sharon's place this year. and her mum cooked us a big feast! the food was great and so was the company.. this is our 3rd christmas together, i m really glad that we are still going strong as a cell.. looking forward to many more xmas to come! headed over to tyler's party after that but there wasn't any pics frm that party..opps.. haha!

Cheers to Christmas with our cute ice cream cup.. semi pot luck gathering at my house.. Jouie made us the most incredible mushroom soup and steak! it was so damn good! Even thou many dramatic moments happen between us in this past 1 year, it was really nice that we manage to have this xmas together.. We just sat around the table, eat, have beer , nice and cosy.. 

and lastly on boxing day we went for the party that we have been going to since we were kids, christmas party organised by our parent's cell.. it felt like it was only yesterday since we were kids.. it was great growing up together..

xmas happenings.

Tis the season to be Jolly! Fala lalala lala lala!

Christmas, my favourite time of the year.. Hope you all had loads of fun, cus i sure did! xmas this year feels a little different from the past due tot he face that i m working 830-615 everyday! there is less time for fancy preparation, extensive xmas shopping.. so everything was simple.. but its the company that counts! so here's a quick flash back of my xmas in 2009!




xmas celebrations kicked off with Lycan's xmas dinner gathering at Timbre.. no fanciful party this year cus we are all having internship.. and dear steph is overseas! so we kept it simple.. and due to budget constraints.. we decide to do Card Exchange instead of the usual gift exchange.. its more meaningful and easy on the pockets!

it was a short night at timre.. we would usually stay till the band finishes its last set. but we all had to wake up early for work the next day.. so we left after the first set.. everyone at the table was working escept eug.. finally all the lazy bones get to work! hhaha..

Next was an xmas dinner at my place with gek, shan, trevin n gang.. our very poorly planned Christmas house party! haha.. the date was fixed long ago but everyone was jus so busy.. so we ordered in and brought simple stuff.. well, its really the company that matters :)

there were gift exchange also! organised by gek.. and she totally cheated her way through the game to get the present she want.. ahahha..

since the next day was xmas eve and it was a half day work for me.. and its ladies night.. we decided to head out to club!

went zouk.. and it was a bad choice! it was so so so super duper crowded.. the most crowded i have seen.. it so crowded that it was even hard to get into the club.. had to squeeze with sweaty ppl.. gross!

kyann and chantelle, girls from my office were there as well.. and the world is so small.. thai jun happen to be their friend as well! the next day the 3 of us went back to work looking totally zombiefied!

and guess wad.. this time my brother tagged along as well.. his virgin clubbing trip! think he was a little shocked by the amount of crowd.. but it got better towards e end and i think he had a pretty good time with us.. haha..

after that night.. i think i am nv ever going to club on holiday eve.. its totally crazy! too crowded!

Christmas eve was a half day for us at Keppel Land.. actually it was less than that la.. prolly quarter of a day's work.. we left our office at 11 am and head on to the Pod at the National Library for their xmas celebration.. the place is on the top floor of the library and the view is spectacular!

the people at the marketing department are really nice and warm people! really glad i met them, they made my internship a really enjoyable one.. and i even got presents from them even thought i only know them for 2 weeks!

Xmas day! started with church service followed by another party at aunty lilian's house! and i tell you she made the most amazing chocolate drink! it comes with whip cream, marshmallow and choc syrup! looks and taste amazing!

its a gathering organised by our parents' cell group.. we just tag along.. and hang out by ourselves at our own cosy corner and gossip, chat, chill the whole day away! cant believe we are all grown ups now.. when we first met we were all kids in pri school !

Remember the vintage party mentioned in the previous blogspost.. the venue was changed last min.. and we held the event at the Pines country club instead! more atas location! credits to thaddeus and his generous parents :) the pics of the party would be up soon!

that's about all for my xmas this year! eugene still owe me my xmas present!!!!!! hope u all had a great xmas too !

Halloweeeeen!

Halloween was such a blast this year.. its kinda my first proper Halloween.. and it was really really fun.. there are 2 part to Halloween.. one with sde another one at butter.. wanted to dress up as lady gaga.. but i cant find her wig! i m so sad.. its fun being a sailor too.. to make up for that i had red gaga lips.. the one she wore in the vid where she did the acoustic version poker face..


Sat.. gek and gang were suppose to be at my place at 5 plus to dress up, make up and all guess what they cam at 830pm.. shan and i waited till we Zzzz.. but the whole make process was hilarious! like gek was totally trying to torture trevin by pouring eye liner INTO his eye! poor guy..

and after that we did the craziest thing.. we cant get a cab.. so we decide to take the bus! in our costume.. well its Halloween and we are young.. so why not! haha..

we even stop by cheers to get stuff..

and we were so lucky.. if not for Tyler we wouldn't have even gotten into butter.. the queue was freaking long! Tyler and gang queue for 3 hours! well, we conveniently cut his queue.. hahaa.. oppsie.. his sponge bob suit super cute! and nelson was skinny Santa..

we opened a bottle of voldka at 2plus am.. and you know what happen after that.. xoxo..

these people came as tetris cubes.. and they weren't allowed into the club cus they were deem as fire hazards.. so funny!

Marcus is back from Korea.. for 1 wk.. just in time to party.. and he came as an afro too!

the club was full of people in all sort of costume.. someone dress as a toilet bowl.. you name it they have it.. more pics up on facebk.. and my favourite.. hunky sailor boys! the one with the $ glasses is super cute!

my favourite pic of the day.. the day ended in a hilarious way.. were the last group of ppl outside the club.. sounds familiar eh..well at least gek was nt bleeding from her nose this time.. and we jus took alot of crazy photos!

SDE Halloween.. they decided to bring back this event.. and spice it up.. it was kinda like a a haunted house concept.. they rented chalets at some ulu place.. the even was pretty cool.. and most of the sde peeps came dressed.. so its alot more fun..

the attraction of the day.. kok as Ris Low.. omg.. it was hilarious.. and everyone was just flocking to him to take picture.. Boomz eh! He looks hot in the leopard preens and zebra preens.. just a little flat chested thou..

there was another sailor at the party too!


we wore out costumes twice.. too poor to get 2 sets..

the seniors at the party. we are still happening alright! the whole process from shopping for costume, preperation and the actual partying.. was so so fun! lets do it again next year!

Happy 21st to Me!!

Kelly Bimbotic 21st was a BLAST! the party turn out better than i imagine it to be! the whole party was so PINK ! I love it..


the party was held at Screme, a cafe at smu.. the place is really cool.. it was a jamming corner, 2 pool tables, wii and a nice chill ambiance.. perfect setting for my party.. except that e place was pretty black due to e furniture colour..


but thanks to tsz shan who came w all e decor ideas.. and my pre party crew (gek, shan, hanip, amanda, aretha, sze hau, eug lee, marcus, nelson..).. we manage to decorate e place really nicely w fake helium ballons.. haha.. thank you all for helping :)




and besides nice decor.. louis was so nice as to be the DJ for my event.. he brought his own console and speakers and even lightings! my party look so professionally done! and he did it as a gift for my bday! loads of thanks to louis, raymond, joel and yuan shyuan who helped.. all of u have a heart of gold k! hahahaha.


and the MOST IMPORTANT people to thank for this event.. is non other than the sponsors of this event.. mummy and daddy.. Dad even got me a professional photographer.. you are the best parents on earth and i m so blessed to be ur daughter! oh and guess wad.. my dad actually went out of his comfort zone to wear pink! his shirt frm river island some more.. happening right..


the initial plan was to hire a nice band to come play at my party..but then i guess if would be more meaningful if i get my friends to do it instead.. and i when i ask them they were so happy to do it for me.. i feel really loved.. and the funny thing was they all refuse to tell me wad they are going to perform as they said it was meant to be a surprise..gek theng conducted games .. amanda, aretha and belle did the acoustic version of polka face, it was so good.. sze hau sang me a jay chou song and caderam pulled the greatest suprise by doing the Michael Jackson dance! everyone was so entertained! even my grandma! thank you dears.. i feel so so loved :)




and everyone have been raving about how pretty my cake looks and taste.. and i have had so many enquires about where i get the cake from..great thanks to steph for her recommendations.. its actually done by cakefuntasie.. you can contact them at their webby..( cakefuntasie.co.cc ). the cake design is taken frm a overseas webby.. love the cake!


oh and u see this giant pic frame.. it was done by my cell group jus the night b4 the party.. i probably not be able to finish it on my own..


the nice pink dress i wore.. was done by tsz shan.. design student frm laselle! hahaha.. she pimp the dress cus i was so scared some one turn up in a similar dress! and she did a great job.. the dress fit the theme of the party really well..


thats isaac. the contact person for screme.. who is ever so patient to answer my endless phone calls and request..
and of course nt forgetting my dearest boyfriend..who has been with me from the start of the planning.. sourching for venues..emceeing for the event.. being bullied by gek during the games.. and he compiled my birthday video.. love you darling.. you are e best...


my mom says my party is a very labour intensive event.. but it really warms my heart to see my friends helping me out and spending time rehearsing n all.. i really appreciate it from the bottom of my heart and my birthday is extra special cus of u all :) i feel so so loved and blessed..



thank you all for the very thoughtful gifts.. i can feel u all thinking about me when u all go shop for my gift.. hahaha.. i love them.. especially the collage frm my uni friends.. really sweet of u all!

and finally loads of thanks to u all who took time to come.. your presence means alot to me.. and loads of kisses to u all who came in pink ! thank you for taking that extra effort :) haha.. my grandma came in pink polka dotted top! happening right.. hahaha.. the pics are on fb..
